Boughton Village Hall – save the date

Please note the Village Hall is run by an independent committee, not the Parish Council.

Save the dates for the following special exhibition/information sessions:-

  • Sunday 4th February 10am – 1pm; and
  • Wednesday 7th February (the monthly coffee morning)

The Committee have instructed a designer to prepare initial drawings on how to improve the Hall, both internally and externally.

The Hall is hosting two ‘exhibition’/information sessions with the designers’ initial drawings on display. The Committee hope attendees can give feedback and fill in their consultation form (an online copy can be found here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/2QMR5DQ )

Boughton village hall is located on Butchers Lane toward the centre of the village. The original hall, was a wooden structure built in 1921 and used to hold local dances, concerts and provide a clinic for the local children. It was replaced with the current hall in 1967.

The village hall is independently managed and the relevant contact details can be found below.

The hall is available to hire for both repeat classes, clubs or functions and one off events provided they meet with the conditions of hire. Conditions of hire, including cost, will be provided upon booking enquiry.  A deposit is required for all bookings. Access to the hall will be agreed during the booking process with parking available for hall users. The interior of the hall has recently been refurbished and features:

  • Seating capacity 100
  • Standing capacity 150
  • Approx 50m² x 28m² floorspace
  • Buffed hardwood floor in main hall
  • Kitchen facilities
  • Toilets
  • Central heating
  • Tables and chairs
  • Crockery*
  • Storage space

Activities

The village hall is suitable for hosting a range of regular activities, such as local club / group meetings, dance and fitness classes, choir / music lessons and rehearsals, and preschool / mum and toddler groups.
