Air quality to be monitored on Church Street, Boughton
As reported at the Parish Council meeting on 21st September 2026, a parishioner has raised concerns with Highways that the level of pollution around Church Street has increased.
Highways noted “considering the significant decrease of traffic in the village, it is likely to have had a positive impact on CO2 and NO2 emissions”.
However to address the concerns, WNC Environmental and Health Protection have accepted to install a diffusion tube near the Church Street pinch point and collect data over the next few months and possibly for one year.
