Bins at Buckton Fields West – 14.07.26

The Parish Clerk has received an update from the Property Manager at First Port:

“The grounds maintenance contractor who had been looking after the site, including the emptying of the dog waste bins, resigned from the contract after we lost management of Buckton Fields East.

They advised that it was no longer financially viable for them to continue maintaining the smaller West development on its own.

Since receiving their notice, I have been actively seeking quotations from alternative contractors to take over the site. In the meantime, I have raised a purchase order for the dog waste bins to be emptied, and I can confirm that this was completed this morning.

I am hopeful that I will have a new grounds maintenance contractor in place by the end of this week so that the regular gardening service can resume as soon as possible.

To assist in preventing the issue reoccurring, the Clerk made further enquiries and has now provided First Port with the contact details of the contractor who currently empties the bins at Buckton Fields East. Hopefully, a long term solution will be put in place ASAP.
