Air quality: a diffusion tube is now in position on Church Street to measure Nitrogen Dioxide

Further to previous updates, WNC have confirmed a diffusion tube is in position in Church Street which will be measuring Nitrogen Dioxide.  It will be changed each month, the results analysed and reported in the Annual Status Report in line with the requirements of the Local Air Quality Management framework.

Monitoring has been conducted in the area for at least the last 5 years at both Vyse Road and Tiggy Hole and the levels are well below the nationally set air quality objective.
