Buckton Fields Community Centre – 03.08.26

We appreciate residents are keen to hear more about the Community Centre and when it will open.

The Parish Council are working closely with Taylor Wimpey and our surveyor to carry out pre-snagging inspections. It is hoped that practical completion will take place on Friday 14th August 2026. However, this is dependent on many aspects.

Providing completion take place on 14th August, the Parish Council will then look to hold an extra-ordinary meeting on Monday 17th August to review and sign a Lease and Service Level Agreement with Born to Shine.

Born to Shine will then run the Community Centre (hopefully from 1st September) providing an array of community activities such as but not limited to: youth clubs, adult & children dance classes, baby/toddler music classes, a literacy programme, an art programme, exercise classes, community tea & coffee mornings. There is also consideration of ad-hoc table top sales, quiz nights etc. The Community Centre will also be available for private hire such as birthday parties etc.

The Clerk is actively monitoring the situation and prioritising this project so that the Community Centre can be enjoyed by all as soon as possible.
