I am now retired but spent the majority of my working life in residential property sales management and development for national house builders and also ran my own estate agency in Spain for several years. I also owned a property land appraisal business with major house builders as clients.
My wife Ruth and I moved to Boughton in April 2022 from Birdham, a village near Chichester in West Sussex to be closer to family and grandchildren following our joint retirement. We both have an active interest in the county and our local parish and with time on my hands I am delighted to be more involved with local matters and to represent the interests of residents in the Parish of Boughton.
I have also become a committed fan of Northampton Town Football Club and attend most matches! We are also members of the National Trust as well as Kingsthorpe Bowls Club.

Cllr Rosie Jeczalik (nee McDonnell)

Cllr Karen Fletcher
A northern lass, originally from Lancashire but studied at The University of Leeds (so divided Roses loyalties).
I’ve lived in Paris and London but for the last 15 years have been living in, and loving, the quiet beauty of Boughton and the stunning countryside of Northamptonshire.
I spent 30 years in Retail Fashion Buying but am now retired, but my 2 children, husband and dog seem to be more demanding than running the Next Buying Office!
It’s now time for me to give back to the community, so I volunteer on both the Pocket Park and Village Hall committees, as well as working with the Prince’s Trust.

Cllr Carolyn Penny

Cllr Tracey Redwood
Boughton Parish Council are pleased to announce the co-option of Tracey Redwood on to the Parish Council as of 10th July 2023.
“Originally from Australia, I have four boys with my husband Stephen. We have lived in the area for 22 years and integrated into several communities. Since 2007, I have worked part time at the University of Northampton where I am currently an Associate Professor and lead for the Centre of Health Sciences and Services. Engaging all members of the age spectrum I secured National Lottery Funding to create the “Overstone Mums and Tots” group in 2012. Throughout my career at three UK universities, I have been fortunate to be involved and lead a variety of research projects including teenage Mums, children in care, young offenders, schools’ resilience, vulnerable families and public health innovations. I am currently a member of the UoN leadership team in the “Well Northants” project. I believe I have several transferable skills which would directly benefit our community”.

Cllr Paul Mabbutt (Police Liaison Representative)
Cllr Mabbutt provides regular updates on the Police Liaison Representative page – https://boughtonparishcouncil.co.uk/police-liaison-representative
I grew up in Brixworth, where as a boy, I did a morning paper round and later attended Moulton Secondary School before going on to Northampton Technical College to study Engineering. My first career was as a graduate apprentice for Lucas Electrical in the West Midlands. Since then, I progressed into the field of manufacturing automation and eventually became UK General Manager for various multi-national companies. Following this, I took a totally new change of career direction and trained as a professional arborist, sort of following in the footsteps of my family, who once had a sawmilling business in Brixworth. This eventually led to me setting up and running Boughton Trees, which some of you may remember. I have completed tree work at various locations in the village, including Boughton Pocket Park, where I was also a member of the committee. In addition, I became a Special Constable for Northamptonshire Police and attended local community meetings in Moulton with the Police Community Support Officer. I then went on to join Thames Valley Police as a full-time frontline emergency response officer, where I also gained extensive policing experience by operating in various parts of the UK. Upon retiring from the Police, I joined De Montfort University, where I am now a Senior Lecturer. I deliver inputs on professional policing practice for undergraduate policing and criminal investigation degree courses. I also liaise regularly with local police forces and am the Liaison to the College of Policing.
I’ve lived in the village for the last 25 years so far and have witnessed many changes and developments. The strengths I bring to the council of Boughton Parish are my knowledge of trees, especially their protection and conservation in our parish, and also my knowledge of Policing, legislation, criminal offences, crime prevention, and detection.
